UK Film Distribution Research

In my media lesson today, we discussed how films were distributed in the United Kingdom. Click here to see the website we used to research our films.
We also watched a video explaining what film distributers actually do and how they affect a film's fame to the public.

Example 1:- The Mummy

The Mummy

I searched for 'The Mummy' in the website engine and then embedded a part of the results above to show you some details. As you can see in the picture, The Mummy was distributed by Universal, a very popular and successful distributer, possibly saying that the film had high standards as a company as big as Universal will only take on high quality films, as more money and fame will be made.

Example 2:- The World's End

The World's End
I also searched for 'The World's End' - or rather, 'World's End, The' - and this is what I found. It was a successful hit, and made instantly famous by it being related to its predecessors Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead. Again, it was distributed by Universal, probably because it was an award-winning money-making hit, like most other film's distributed by Universal.
